1. Introduction
PrimeStory ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify application developed by Prime Solutions Teknoloji Yazilim Gelistirme A.S. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use PrimeStory on your Shopify store.
2. Information We Collect
When you install PrimeStory, we collect:
- Shop domain name (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)
- Shopify access token (to authenticate API requests on your behalf)
- Story and highlight content you create within the app (titles, media URLs)
- Anonymous analytics data: story views, clicks, and engagement events
- App usage settings (appearance preferences, widget configuration)
We do NOT collect personal information about your store's customers (names, emails, payment data). All analytics data is anonymized using session identifiers and contains no personally identifiable information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and operate the PrimeStory service on your Shopify store
- Display Instagram-style story widgets to your store visitors
- Show you analytics about your story performance
- Improve and optimize our service
- Respond to support requests
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers located in Europe (Azure Cloud, Frankfurt region). We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission, secure database access controls, and regular security audits.
Media files (images and videos) you upload are stored on Shopify's Content Delivery Network (CDN) and are subject to Shopify's own security and privacy policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties except:
- Shopify: to authenticate your store and process file uploads via Shopify Files API
- Infrastructure providers (Microsoft Azure) for hosting our application
- When required by law or legal process
6. GDPR Compliance
PrimeStory is fully compliant with Shopify's GDPR requirements. We have implemented the following mandatory data webhooks:
- customers/data_request: We respond to customer data requests
- customers/redact: We delete customer data upon request
- shop/redact: We delete all store data when a merchant uninstalls our app
Upon app uninstallation, all your store's data (highlights, slides, analytics, settings) will be permanently deleted from our servers within 48 hours.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you have PrimeStory installed on your Shopify store. When you uninstall the app, we will delete all associated data within 48 hours as required by Shopify's Partner Program Agreement.
8. Your Rights
As a merchant using PrimeStory, you have the right to:
- Access all data we hold about your store
- Request deletion of your data at any time by uninstalling the app
- Export your story content before uninstalling
- Contact us with any data-related questions or concerns
9. Cookies and Tracking
PrimeStory uses session identifiers (stored in browser localStorage) solely to provide anonymous analytics such as story view counts. We do not use tracking cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. No personal information is associated with these identifiers.
10. Children's Privacy
PrimeStory is a B2B application intended for Shopify merchants. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of PrimeStory after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
